Practice

Francesco Cascio studied architecture at the University of Florence (Italy) and became a member of the Italian Ordine degli Architetti in 1986. He started his career as a consultant for Italian public bodies and institutions for which he designed large scale projects including a sports stadium and the masterplan for a marine resort. After a working spell in Paris he moved to London to study at the Bartlett school of Architecture at UCL where he received a master degree in 1993. Having worked on a wide range of projects for practices in London and New York, Francesco became a member of RIBA in 1998 and founded Francesco Cascio Architects in January 2000.

The practice consists of a flexible team of professionals providing full architectural services to clients in the UK and abroad. The office workload is mostly domestic, though since its inception FCA has been involved in several non-residential schemes including offices and retail. Projects range from functional and sophisticated inner city apartments to innovative and sustainable country and seaside houses. In addition FCA undertakes feasibility studies, space planning, project management, interior and furniture design.
